  1. This report provides statistics only on cases heard by the Student Honor Committee out of all cases reported to the Office of Student Integrity in the Dean of Students Office.  Information on the total cases involved academic misconduct will be presented by the Academic Integrity Committee in a separate report.

  1. As shown in the table below, the number of cases heard by the Student Honor Committee went up this year in number (by 52.9%) and in percent of all academic misconduct cases (from 5.7% to 7.4% of all cases).

  1. As has been the historical trend, about 75%-80% of the Student Honor Committee cases find the student responsible for violating the Honor Code.

  1. There are currently 22 student-cases pending before the Student Honor Committee from Spring, 2005 semester.  This is an increase in pending cases.  It remains difficult logistically to hear cases over the summer semester.
