1.      The College of Engineering requested that engineering students taking CEE 4803D, Computing for Engineers, Spring 2001 be allowed to substitute this course for CS 13x1 in satisfying Core Area B and, subject to program approval, degree requirements. A motion was made to approve the request. The motion was seconded and approved. Unanimous

 

2.      The Committee heard the appeal of a student requesting re-admissions after a third academic drop. A motion was made to deny the appeal. The motion was seconded and approved.

 

3.      123 student petitions were reviewed by the committee, all were approved unless noted:

 

40-re-admission Summer 2001 (7 denied)

4-re-admission Fall 2001

33-to withdraw from course(s) (13 denied)

17-to waive the 10-year or 36-hour rule

18-to substitute courses for other courses (3 denied)

2-to register summer 2001 after withdrawing Spring 2001 (denied)

1-to have grade in ECE course changed to higher grade

1-to earn honors using transfer credit (denied)

4.      The Dean of Student Services reported the following actions:

placed on disciplinary probation through Spring 2001; will receive an overall grade of "F" in ENGL, fall 2000.

 

BC three students

reprimanded by Special Assistant to Vice President of Student Affairs; will receive grade of "0" on assignment in question, EAS 2601B.

 

CE one student

placed on indefinite disciplinary warning; assigned grade for ECE 3041 will drop one letter grade for Fall 2000.

 

CE - one student

reprimanded by Senior Associate Dean of Students.

 

CHE one student

placed on disciplinary probation through Spring 2001; will receive an overall grade of "F" in CS 1311 Spring 2000.

 

CHE one student

reprimanded by Special Assistant to Vice President of Student Affairs; course grade will reduce by half of a grade.

 

CHE one student
