Subject: Statutes - vote needed

We have a scheduled meeting for Thursday, October 6th, at 11:30.  I believe we can take care of this request via email; if any of you believe otherwise, we can move the meeting up a week.

Please find attached recommended changes for Section 50, Intellectual Property Policy, in a comparison chart with the current Faculty Handbook Section 50.

Most of the committee has already seen this material when we reviewed it in May and provided feedback to Lauren MacLanahan, JD, Assistant Director, Office of Technology Licensing.  The Executive Board has also seen the recommended changes and provided feedback.  The Executive Board’s and our suggestions have been addressed in this current version.  The Executive Board voted September 20th to have this presented to the General Faculty at the October 4th meeting.

Please review the proposed changes to the IP Policy and vote.

Vote Needed (Yes, No, Abstain) – Should the proposed changes to the Faculty Handbook for Section 50, Intellectual Property Policy, be presented to the General Faculty?

If you have any questions, please let me know.  Please provide your vote by Wednesday, September 28th.

Thank you,

Jeanne
