Members Present: Danielle McDonald (Student Affairs representative, Secretary), Bruce Henson (Faculty member, Chair), Melissa Pitcher (SGA student representative), Bette Finn (Faculty member), Nancy Simons (Faculty Member), Chris D’Urbano (Executive Committee Liaison), Mary-Frances Panettiere (Faculty Member), Austen Edwards (SGA student representative)

 

Members Absent: Rich Moore (GSS student representative), David Scott (Faculty member)

 

I.          Approval of Minutes of January 20, 2010

Correction made to the date of the meeting

Nancy moved and Mary-Frances seconded the motion to approve the minutes with the change.

Unanimously approved

 

II.        Old Business

Students for Progressive Transit – Amanda Wall

Discussion: minor formatting issues

Mary-Frances moved and Austin seconded the motion to approve the charter with stipulated changes

Unanimously approved

 

III.       New Business

Infinite Harmony Andrew Leonard, Tamryn Parkinson

Discussion: membership decisions and caps were brought up, but not discussed in constitution

Mary-Frances moved and Melissa seconded the motion to table the charter until the organization resolved its constitution issues and JCOC discussed “open organizations”

Unanimously approved

 

Latino Organization of Graduate Students (LOGRAS)Brenda Robledo

Discussion: clarification in elections, and minor formatting

Mary-Frances moved and Melissa seconded the motion to approve the charter with stipulated changes

Unanimously approved

 

International Youth Fellowship -

Discussion: clarification in elections and advisor sections

Mary-Frances moved and Melissa seconded the motion to approve the charter with stipulated changes

Unanimously approved

 

            Aerospace Design Build Fly – David Moroniti

Discussion: a couple formatting issues

Mary-Frances moved and Bette seconded the motion to approve the charter with stipulated changes

Unanimously approved

 

            Vegetarian Society

Tabled due to lack of representative

 

Electronica Appreciation Society

Organization decided not to charter
