  1. A motion was made to approve an appeal from a student to readmit Spring 2007 after withdrawing Fall 2006. The motion was seconded and approved.
  2. A motion was made to approve a request from the School of Aerospace Engineering to participate in the Research Option. The motion was seconded and approved.
  3. A motion was made to approve a request from the School of Biology for four new courses.  The motion was seconded and approved.

 

NEW COURSES

 

BIOL 4225 Molecular Evolution 3-0-3

BIOL 4401 Experimental Design and Statistical Methods in Biology 3-0-3

BIOL 4150 Genomics and Applied Bioinformatics 2-2-3

BIOL 4690 Independent Research Project 9-0-3

 

  1. A motion was made to table a request from the School of Biology for a name change and new Catalog description for BIOL 4010 Aquatic Biology (would become Marine Biology with a new description). The Registrar noted that a new course proposal will be needed. The motion to table was seconded and approved.
  2. A request from the School of History, Technology, and Society to change degree requirements, approve new courses, and deactivate courses was tabled at its request.
  3. A request was made to approve a request from the School of Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering for a new cross-listed course.  The motion was seconded and approved. Note: Approval is contingent upon signatures of the College Deans.

 

NEW COURSE

 

ChBE, CHEM, BMED 4765 Drug Design, Development, and Delivery

  3-0-3

 

  1. The Committee reviewed and discussed the 3/2 program in Industrial Engineering between Georgia Tech’s School of Industrial and Systems Engineering and the Department of Industrial Engineering at the Instituto Tecnologico y de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey (ITESM).  The Committee identified no concerns with this program.
