1. The Minutes of March 16, 2006 and April 6, 2006 were already approved electronically and were accepted by the Academic Senate at its April 18, 2006 meeting.

2. A motion was made to accept the recommendations of the Student Petitions Subcommittee. The motion was seconded and approved. Unanimous.

3. A motion was made to approve a request from the School of Aeronautical Engineering for a new course.  The motion was seconded and approved. Unanimous.

4. A motion was made to approve a request from the College of Architecture for three new courses.  The motion was seconded and approved as noted below. Unanimous.

COA  8540 Doctoral Urban and Regional Development Theory 3-0-3

5. A motion was made to approve a request from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering for a new course. The motion was seconded and approved. Unanimous.

 

ECE 6280 Cryptography and Security 3-0-3

 

(Note: Students may not receive credit for both ECE 6280 and CS 6260. A revised course form with an updated 25-word catalog description that more clearly distinguishes the content of the ECE course from the CS course, based on the approach, rather than just listing the topical areas covered, was submitted.)

 

6. A motion was made to approve the program reviews for Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering and Human-Computer Interaction, with minor edits.

The motion was seconded and approved. Unanimous.
